About        Us

The Fraternal Order of Eagles #1047 is a private social club which was founded in Gilberts, Illinois  in 2006. Prior to 2006, we were located in Elgin, which opened in 1904. We require a yearly membership fee. We rely on our membership to make our club a success. We have events throughout the year which members donate their time to help be a success. Volunteering a great way to meet other members and can actually be FUN! We donate yearly to Shop with a Cop and a portion of the yearly dues goes to the Grand Aerie Charities.  We also help out other non-for profit organizations. Any member who has a suggestion for donating to a certain Charity, may bring a request in writing to the Trustees for them to discuss.

 We offer our members a delicious Dinner & Dance event for Valentine's Day. Other events include St. Patrick's Day with traditional Corn Beef. We have Annual events such as our Family Picnic in July, Car & Motorcycle Show in August, our Golf Outing in September and of course a Cubs outing with bus transportation each September. Other monthly events include our Fun Trivia night which is on the last Friday of the Month and Singo on the 2nd Friday of the month. Other events include: Halloween Party, Bon Fires in the backyard space, Chili Cook-Off, Kentucky Derby, Bags Tournament, Pool Tournament, Superbowl Party, Member Christmas Party for Adults, and our Kids Christmas Party. Any children or grandchildren of members, under 12 receive a gift from Santa, Lunch and games included. Join us for Bears and Packers games with our famous Beer Sausage on some Sundays.

We have a great area outside to sit and relax. Bring your cornhole bags or use ours (members only). All members must check with an Officer or Trustee to be certain the outside area is not rented out for other events, before planning to use the space.

Host your next event with us in one of our upstairs banquet room, or in the lower level Aerie Room. Members do receive discounts on rooms after a 2 year period. Volunteering your time with us helps with this. You do not need to be a member to rent one of our spaces. Please see our banquet page for more information.

Every Wednesday we play Lightning. This is our version of Bingo. We start around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Occasionally we have a dinner special which starts at 5:30-6:00 P.M. and prices range between $5.00 - $10.00.  We also have Bar food available; Burgers, Pizza, Chicken Wings,  Tenders, Fries, Onion Rings, TatorTots, Bob's Famous Pork Tenderloin Sandwich & some great Cheese Curds.

Monday:  Oct 27-April we are closed 

Tuesday: 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.

Wednesday: 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.   Dinner starts @ 5:30 p.m. Lightning  starts 6:00 p.m.  

 Wednesday Public hours:  5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Thursday:   3:00-10:00 Unless football or baseball is on. We will stay open until its over.

Friday: 3:00 p.m.- 1:00 a.m.   Open to public 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. for FISH FRY

Sunday:  11:00- 7:00 p.m.             Banquet rental times are different than club hours

 Our hours can change at any time. If you wish to view the Banquet facility, please make an appointment.

 For new applicants, there is a $25.00 one time application fee with a sponsor. Yearly dues are paid in May $60.00.
